You tell them why this has no future.

You stop wasting their limited time by staying.

You give them one shot to change or you both leave.

You decide if this bond has a real future.

You do not stay once you already know the answer is no.

You sit them down and you tell the plain truth.

You say you thought hard and you do not see forever.

You refuse to waste their limited time any longer.

You give them one real chance to change who they are.

You watch whether they fix it or they stay the same.

Most times they stay the same and you both move on.

Sometimes they care more than you thought and they change.

You use the same honesty with a client who no longer fits.

You name the reason so they can raise the offer or let you go.

You break the lease when living together has become unhealthy.

You start fresh instead of stealing years from either of you.

Assignment:

Sit down with the person you no longer see a future with.

Tell them you thought it through, you do not see forever, and you will not waste their time.

Then let them decide whether to change or let you go.
