How you can make Checklists feel easier

Checklist Tricks Continued
You can make any checklist non intimidating.
Shorten it to a few items or split big tasks into many small wins.
Choose the form that makes you want to start.
Test until the list drives action instead of delay.
You look at your checklist and feel dread.
That means it is not doing its job.
Your checklist exists to make work easy and clear.
If five items still scare you because one is a four-hour slog then break that slog into ten tiny steps.
If a hundred items overwhelm then group them into five.
Open it and ask if this makes you want to act now.
If not change the length or the size of each item.
Try one version for a day then the other.
Keep the one that gets you started without scrolling.
The real lesson is that you design the tool so your body sees work as simple.
Test until that happens.
