How you can share with purpose
Problems for Two
Problems for Two
Venting a bad day feels good but dumps stress on people who cannot fix it.
Only tell someone if they asked or can help you solve it.
Carry the rest yourself and put energy into the next action.
You want to tell someone you got fired or had a brutal day.
Sharing eases you.
It also loads sadness onto your mom, girlfriend, or friend.
That load does not change the facts.
Ask first whether they can help you find work or take a real step.
If they can, share and ask.
If they cannot, keep it.
Talk to God if you need a listener who will not break.
Focus on the next job, the next call, the next fix.
People stay close to you when you do not hand them extra pain.
The hard habit is shutting your mouth until the share has a purpose.
Assignment:
Before you tell anyone about a problem today, ask whether they can help solve it.
If they cannot, keep it and take one action toward the fix yourself.
