Being a Brother

You already told your brother.

He will marry her anyway.

Say it once then stop.

Build a life so strong you can catch him when it breaks.

That is how you help.

People you love will make choices you hate.

Your brother is marrying someone you do not trust.

You said your piece.

That is enough.

Helping is not stopping every mistake.

Do not argue again.

Do not take his agency.

Let him live it.

If it blows up later you want to be able to help.

Become so capable you can hand him money and a place to land.

Stop preaching.

Focus on your own life.

Make it great enough that their hardest day is not the end.
