How you can end haunting thoughts
Haunting Thoughts
Haunting Thoughts
Bad news sticks when it stays unresolved.
Ask if the complaint is valid and what you can do.
Help if someone is right, correct them if they are wrong, or accept you will not go that far.
Once you pick act, skip, or impossible, the thought vanishes like a ghost that lost its unfinished business.
Then you move to the next problem.
You notice a parent trash the other parent and the words ride with you all day.
The thought stays because it is unfinished, not because it is strong.
Ask two questions every time: is the complaint even valid, and what can you do about it.
If dad is kind of right, you can help mom change the habit that hurts the house.
If dad is wrong, you can help him see that mom is not the villain.
You do not have to become the family referee.
You only need a real resolution in your own head.
Either you will take the action, you will not take it because it is not worth the cost, or you accept you cannot change it.
Any of those three answers closes the case.
Ghosts haunt only while something on this planet still needs you.
When you decide, they disappear and life hands you the next problem to solve.
That is how you keep focus for business, health, and whatever you are building.
Assignment:
Next time a family complaint or bad news follows you to school or the gym, write one of three answers:
I will act, I will not act, or I cannot act.
Sit with that answer until the loop stops.
